The Kind Harvest Co. is a brand of Flour crafted with a mission to GIVE BACK and DO GOOD.
Working closely with farmers and growers who pride themselves on their responsible approach to farming, The Kind Harvest Co. crafts quality pantry staples using 100% responsibly farmed Australian wheat.
The Kind Harvest Co. is proud to partner with Rural Aid, with 10c from every pack of The Kind Harvest Co. flour sold donated to Rural Aid to support much needed rural community initiatives aimed at supporting farmers and rural communities through natural disasters such as drought, bushfire, and floods.
WHO OWNS / MAKES THE KIND HARVEST CO.?
The Kind Harvest Co. is 100% Australian owned and operated.
The Kind Harvest Co. brand is owned by Rinoldi, a family-owned pasta manufacturer and one of Australia’s oldest food producers, established in Melbourne in 1878.
When Rinoldi purchased the Young Roller Flour Mill in 2012, it was Australia's oldest operating co-op mill. Now owned by Rinoldi, our flour mill is located in Young NSW, the cherry captial of Australia.
WHAT IS RESPONSIBLE FARMING?
The Kind Harvest Co’s responsibly farmed wheat initiative is a project that has been in the works for over 5 years and involved the close collaboration of local farmers and their commitment to adopting a responsible approach to farming. Responsible farming techniques ensure that crops are grown sustainably and safely to protect the environment, whilst caring for the socio-economic conditions of the farmers and the local community as a whole.
Responsible farming also means that farmers are actively working to protect species and the ecosystem, with some farms dedicating a portion of their land to regenerating native bushland and caring for native habitats.
DOES THE KIND HARVEST CO. HOLD ANY RESPONSIBLY FARMED CERTIFICATION?
Farmers we work with follow a sustainable agriculture programme under the guidelines of the SAI Platform, a global authority dedicated to sustainable agriculture. Adopted by some of the world’s leading brands, the aim is to implement farming practices that help protect the environment, care for the wellbeing of farmers and the overall farming community, as well as looking after animal species.

WHAT KIND OF WHEAT IS USED TO MILL THE KIND HARVEST CO. FLOUR

WHERE IS THE KIND HARVEST CO. WHEAT GROWN?
The Kind Harvest Co. only uses premium quality, responsibly farmed Australian Wheat grown and harvested in the NSW wheat belt.
HOW IS THE KIND HARVEST CO. FLOUR MILLED?
The Kind Harvest Co. is milled in Young, NSW. Founded in 1888, the Young Roller Flour Mill was Australia’s oldest operating co-op mill, until it was purchased by Rinoldi in 2012.
The Kind Harvest Co. flour is roller milled according to traditional methods. The flour milling process starts with cleaning the grain (wheat kernels). The next step is to ground the grain, where the wheat kernels go through a series of rollermills until the bran is separated out. Between each rollermill cycle, the ground grain is sifted to achieve the best possible result. The Kind Harvest Co. flour is unbleached and triple sifted, to ensure we deliver a superior quality flour suitable for all baking needs.

Yes, the Kind Harvest Co. flour is GM free.
DOES THE KIND HARVEST CO. CONTAIN FOLIC ACID?
The Kind Harvest Co. flour has not been fortified with folic acid.

WHAT IS RURAL AID?
Founded in 2015, Rural Aid is one of Australia’s largest rural charities. Well known for the highly successful ‘Buy a Bale’ campaign, the charity also provides financial assistance, water and counselling to farmers in times of drought, flood or fire.
Other initiatives support its vision that farming and rural communities are safeguarded to ensure their sustainability both during and after these natural disasters. Rural Aid is pleased to be working with a family owned Australian business supporting Australian farmers and local rural communities.
